Abstract:
This video is the story of the ongoing interactions of two brothers-Robert who has had a mental illness since the 1970s, and his primary caretaker, Jay, a novelist. Robert experienced his first episode of mental illness during his freshman year in college and has been hospitalized and rehospitalized more than fifty times. He has received various diagnoses, and been treated by numerous kinds of therapies. The video shows the relationship between the two brothers, including clips from old family movies and interviews with treatment staff.
